Heliconius lalitae
Andrew V. Z. BrowerCharacteristics
H. lalitae is very similar to H. egeria egerides Staudinger 1897, exhibiting yellow distal spots and a basal red area on the forewong, and a basal transverse red stripe across the discal cell of the hindwing. According to Brévignon's (1996) diagnosis, it may be distinguished from the latter by the distribution of the androconial scales, which in H. lalitae extend into the hindwing discal cell.
